The Practice

This practice has been established for 20 years and is currently based at Woodlands Medical Centre in Didcot. Elizabeth set up the practice originally and Lisa joined the practice in 2008.

All practitioners are fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and continue to update and expand their knowledge with post graduate training to offer you the best possible care. For further information refer to our standards of osteopathy.

Elizabeth Hardy

Elizabeth Hardy, Osteopath

Elizabeth graduated in 1983 with a Diploma in Osteopathy having completed a four year full time course at the British School of Osteopathy (BSO). She gained further experience working at clinics in Oxford and Banbury and then went on to establish the first Osteopathic clinic in Wantage. Elizabeth also worked as a clinic tutor at the BSO for five years. She is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of the British Osteopathic Association.

With 29 years experience Elizabeth continues to enjoy her work and strives to ensure that patients understand their bodies and how they can help themselves by improving their posture and exercising correctly.

Elizabeth is also licensed to practice modern acupuncture and will offer this to patients if she feels it will help with pain relief.

Having practised Pilates for several years she went on to train with Pilates Solutions and now incorporates this into exercise programs when appropriate.

Lisa Parke

Lisa Parke, OsteopathLisa studied at Oxford Brookes University, completing a five year part time Osteopathy degree in 2008. Lisa is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of the British Osteopathic Association. Lisa also has a post graduate qualification in medical acupuncture and is a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society.

Prior to studying at OBU, Lisa had a career in Human Resources and then as a sports massage therapist. Lisa has experience working with elite athletes, including Olympic gold medallists, professional golfers and club level rugby league players. She is also part of the medical team for the O2 Academy music venue in Oxford.

Using a variety of techniques from spinal manipulation, traction, muscle energy techniques and cranial osteopathy Lisa enjoys treating patients of all ages, with a wide range of complaints including acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems, degenerative conditions and the effects of stress on the body. She is adept at treating babies and children.

Lisa is also a tutor at the Oxford Brookes Clinic facility, which provides clinical training to osteopathy students.
